Conscious Body Yoga and Massage Therapy 

Hello Beautiful People!  Thank you for your interest in Conscious Body!  I am but a humble being who began my journey with yoga in 2002 when I was first introduced to Hatha yoga and Breathwork.  I immediately felt a shift to a more peaceful state of mind and thus my love of yoga began.  That journey has been leading me down a path of more awareness; not just of my own body/mind/spirit, but also a greater awareness of the world around me and the divine souls I am sharing it with. It is my belief that by truly connecting with our own bodies and exploring it's strengths as well as it's limitations, we are beginning the age old journey toward consciousness and the knowledge of who we really are.
 
 A conscious body leads to a more conscious mind to a more conscious being and finally to a more conscious world...
 
For the past two years I have been teaching Vinyasa Flow yoga at the Yoga Circle in Southside.  It has been an amazing experience for me.  I have learned so much from my students, not just about the human body, but also the human spirit and it's ability to push you forward into change and into healing.  My experience as a yoga teacher sparked my desire to learn more about massage and alternate healing therapies.  At Conscious Body I offer private yoga instruction that is tailored to a client's individual needs and is designed to work in combination with massage therapy.  Imagine a yoga practice full of poses that target your problem areas, loosening and stretching the areas of your body that give you pain.  Imagine melting into the table as these same areas are relaxed and stretched through massage.  I also offer massage therapy in a variety of styles-- traditional swedish, deep tissue, neuromuscular therapy, hot stone, post/pre-natal, and reflexology.  I feel that yoga and massage have given me a way to truly contribute to other people's happiness, and in turn, I have found meaning and joy and purpose in my own life.  For this I give thanks to every student, every client, every friend and loved one, who has ever practiced yoga with me or allowed me to share in this gift of touch and connection.  Namaste'
